Registration and Inspection:
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. The CQC states that... "Any person (individual, partnership or organisation) who provides regulated activity in England must be registered with us otherwise they commit an offence."
GP Practices are inspected by a CQC Inspector and a GP on every inspection. inspectors use professional judgement, supported by objective measures and evidence, to assess services against five key questions:
• Are they safe?
• Are they effective?
• Are they caring?
• Are they responsive to people’s needs?
• Are they well-led?
